How to Reset a Garage Door Motor

Posted - 12/16/2011

If you are trying to reset a garage door motor, you probably have found that a problematic garage door can be annoying. There is often a "reset" button located near the motor of a garage door. This may be a button or a switch. You can try pushing this, or turning the motor off for at least ten seconds. Being without power for a such a length of time should reset anything within the computer chip of the electrical system. Are you still unable to get the door working? You should then call a professional garage door mechanic for help.
